Statement of Faith

Brown County Christian School’s Statement of Faith is based on the scriptures as the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, which is the church's creed, and proceeds with the following authoritative basics in clear focus. Our faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation for building academic excellence and spiritual growth at Brown County Christian School. In alignment with our vision to guide students to discover purpose, seek truth, and gain understanding, we affirm the following core beliefs:

1. The Bible – The Source of Truth
We believe the Bible is God's inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word. It reveals absolute truth, shapes our understanding of the world, and is the foundation for guiding students in wisdom and righteousness.
(2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105; John 17:17)

2. God – Our Creator and Purpose-Giver
We believe in one sovereign God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God lovingly created all people with purpose and calls each student to live in relationship with Him.
(Genesis 1:26–27; Jeremiah 29:11; Matthew 28:19)

3. Jesus Christ – The Way to Truth and Life
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived sinless, died for our sins, rose again, and reigns with the Father. Through Him, students find their identity, salvation, and eternal purpose.
(John 14:6; Philippians 2:6–11; Romans 5:8)

4. Salvation – The Path to Purpose
We believe salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. When students receive Christ, they begin a journey of discovering their God-given purpose and growing in understanding of His will.
(Ephesians 2:8–10; Romans 10:9–10)

5. The Holy Spirit – Our Guide into Truth
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within believers to empower, convict, comfort, and guide them into all truth.
(John 14:26; Romans 8:14; Galatians 5:22–23)

6. The Church – A Community of Faith and Learning
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all believers. Students grow in faith, character, service, and love within the local church and school.
(Hebrews 10:24–25; Romans 12:4–5; Acts 2:42)

7. Human Dignity – Made for a Purpose
We believe all people are made in God's image and are created with eternal value and a unique purpose. We affirm God’s design in creating humanity as male and female.
(Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13–16; Ephesians 2:10)

8. Marriage and Family – Designed for Truth and Love
We believe marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God between one man and one woman. Families are essential to nurturing truth, love, and godly purpose in children's lives.
(Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:22–33)

9. Christian Living – Growing in Understanding and Truth
We believe believers are called to live holy, obedient lives marked by compassion, humility, and grace. As students grow, they are encouraged to seek God's wisdom and reflect His character.
(Micah 6:8; Romans 12:1–2; Colossians 3:12–17)

10. Eternity – Our Hope and Future
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life with God and the lost to separation from Him. This eternal perspective shapes how we live with purpose today.
(John 5:28–29; Revelation 21:1–4; 2 Corinthians 5:1)
